About the content
Browser Wars loads articles live from Wikipedia in your browser, so Wikipedia receives your request (see our Privacy Policy). Article text is adapted from Wikipedia contributors under CC BY-SA 4.0, and the game shows that attribution while you play. If Wikipedia can’t be reached, a clearly labelled offline sample loads instead. Your chosen home article is saved in your browser.
Browser Wars isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by the Wikimedia Foundation.
Features
Articles become terrain
Every paragraph, list item and table cell is a solid block, and every linked article is a whirlpool you can fly into.
Typography powerups
{ } gives a shield, [+] repairs your hull and [*] adds bombs. Each hit costs 25 hull; at zero you respawn at your home article.
ASCII bombs
Blast nearby text into [ redacted ] to clear a path. Only your own visit changes, never Wikipedia itself.
Link radar
A simulated rival flies a real chain of links one to three hops away. Select it to light the next portal in gold.
